Visitor & exhibitor attendance at the 2019 edition

So compared to previous years, number of visitors increased.  Passes provided for boating sector professionals increased to 300 in 2019 . In addition, around 200 journalists registered at the event to cover all the latest news and information presented by the exhibitors and organisers. These members of the press come from all over the world. Many are local, and every year we see more members of the national and international press specialising in the nautical world.

The Palma International Boat Show hosted a total of 270 companies and 600 boats, 300 of which were on the water, for this edition of the fair.

Scale of the event

The fair complex, located in the Moll Vell in Palma, covers a surface area of 81,400m2. The Palma International Boat Show is organised by IDI (Balearic Institute for Business Innovation) in collaboration with the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA), who is responsible for the Palma Superyacht Show, the area dedicated to luxury yachts.

For this edition, the fair complex was reorganised so that it could accommodate a higher number of companies and exhibitor products were streamlined to allow new brands and companies a chance to take part and enhance the variety on offer at Palma’s boat show.

In 2018 the Palma International Boat Show’s exhibition space grew tremendously, especially its sea-based exhibition area, thanks to its new design which included remodelling the exhibition areas with the aim of optimising the space available at the Moll Vell even further.

In fact, the 72-metre-long floating bridge which connects Consigna Jetty with Industria Pesquera dock, means that visitors can follow a circular route around the space thereby avoiding any dead areas. Apart from making it easier to visit the entire exhibition, the floating gangway is also another attraction in itself, and offers a different perspective of the Palma International Boat Show and Palma Port.

The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will take place from the 29th of April to the 3rd of May 2020.
